A richly carved Louis XV fireplace in white Carrara marble.

Below the moulded, serpentine-shaped shelf sits a flowing frieze with a deeply carved, reversed shell surrounded by delicately carved flowers and foliage.

The top of the shaped jambs are decorated with scrolls and carved shells from which flowers fall.
At the base, scrolled acanthus leaves sit on raised supports.
On each side, gilt circular ventilation ports adorn this chimneypiece.
